Adding a Twitter-like Feature to the Community

How about adding a "twitter-like" feature to the community where users can share short, tagged bits of information/links and follow members or topics that they want to follow...

I saw someone already posted an idea about being able to friend and follow other members. I think that's a good idea too!

I think that's a great idea. Perhaps it could even integrated if we have our own Twitter feeds. That way, if we hash-tag Marketo it shows up on our profile page.

Great idea Lauren - I'd also like to suggest including a mention feature just like Twitter does, where typing '@' brings up a list of Marketo users to select. When mentioned, that user receives an email notification. This would be useful for when you have a specific problem which you'd like to highlight to users you know who specialise in that field.
