Our org has 5 custom objects with pretty long names. This means when you need to get to the Activity Log on a lead, that tab is pushed off screen and no horizontal scroll bar is available.
The work around is to zoom WAY out (so far that the text isn't legible), then zoom back in so you can see the results.
