It would be nice to have the ability to change the "applies to" on a channel once you create it. It just so happens that I inadvertently picked default instead of event, and now I have to set up the whole channel again. Not fun π
I've been asking for this for a while! I want to get my reporting more concise and I cannot do that because I can't change the Channel for Programs that were created when we first started using Marketo. Pretty disappointing!
Oh Jeff, if you only saw the status steps in that conference channel that I had to redo. It was too long and granular and I kept getting error messages, and then when I saw I picked the default by mistake, I wanted to go home.
Agree with Michelle here. Not only is it a pain if you find out after you are all set that you applied the channel to the wrong program type, but there are some instances where you might need to create duplicate channels.
For instance, we were a Marketo subscriber before the program type of email program was ever created. We have an email channel that applies to the default program type as a result. Now we need to have a duplicate email channel with all the exact statuses that applies to the email program as well. Not really efficient and does nbot look good when you pull a report.
In my opinion, Channels should be able to apply to multiple program types, there are definitely situations where this occurs and it will help us old customers who have a lot of channels that apply to the default program type.
I know tihs is a probably a super old Feature Request, but if it's in reference to the screenshot. Yes, this is certainly a need especially after cloning specific programs in our Nurture streams (Engagement Streams).
