Background: We recently had Marketo open up the account field level edit access so that we can use Marketo to update fields on the SFDC Account object.
Goal: We want to run a clean up campaign to change the lead/contact owner from former employees to current ones.
Question: Since we have the account level edit open, will the "change owner" flow step change account owner as well? If so, how do we make sure we ONLY change lead/contact owner.

The change owner flow step will only change the lead/contact owner. It isn't configured to change account owners.

Correct. Change owner isn't a standard write operation, but a specific implementation, so this doesn't change how it works.

More broadly, Marketo cannot change any account data.
