We're starting to use Marketing Suspended more and want to indicate why a lead became marketing suspended. In the Change Data Value flow step, Marketing Suspended Cause isn't an option (nor is it an editable field within the lead record). It's listed as a "string" field in field management. What is it's purpose if we can't even leverage it for what it was intended for?
Why not just create a new field for this instead?
That's what we ended up doing. But in the interest of keeping our environment as efficient as possible - where we already have a bunch of custom fields - it would be preferable to use this existing field.
Hey Dan, I wonder if it's a relic, similar to the idea that we can't rename or hide any fields that are in use and the fact that they haven't changed the name of "Email Suspended" to "Email Was Suspended" (or something similar). It would be nice if there was more control overall in fields/field names/field visibility but I think it's probably hard coded and very difficult to change after 10 years.
