why do all the interesting moments disappear when you convert a lead to an opportunity?

I start with a lead full of activities. EWhen I roll it up to an opportunity, the activities are non-existent both on contact and opp. Am I missing something?

As soon as the periodic sync has run, they should be reinstated. Through the periodic sync Marketo is notified that the Lead is converted into a Contact, and the new Contact ID is stored in Marketo (Sales Insight uses the SFDC IDs to look up the correct activities)
