What communication limits to you use?

We're a software company (B2B) and I'm wondering what other B2B companies use for communication limits? 

We were thinking two emails a week, max, but in some cases it's a bit too restrictive. What do you use?

Our limits are set to two.  If this is too low, set it to 4 and watch your unsubscribes for 30 days.  If it tips over 1%, reduce the limit.  A more sophisticated apporach would be to create/set up a Preferences page that will dictate what they receive.  Most people don't mind daily emails if they're receiving interested topics.

Our limits are set at three. We'll track that and see whether we need to change it over time.
