What are best practices connecting Marketo to Google Analytics?

I'm trying to figure out the best way for Marketo to work with Google Analytics. I could use both philosophical and techinal advice here, thank you.

Technical - You should just have to drop the .js script from google on your landing page template (make sure you're using the multidomain version)

Philosophy - I create a 'master' view that includes all our subdomains along with specific views per subdomain. From there I build out dashboards for views/flow/technology/etc.
