Using the Smart List Tab of a Report

Has anyone successfully used a filter in the Smart List tab of an Email Report in the Analytics section?

I have an email report that I pull stats on for our newsletter to see open rates and CTRs but would like to segment the list based on a custom field I have created to track the subsciption source (i.e. which one of our blogs they subscribed through).

So, I went to the "Smart List" tab of the report (between 'Report' and 'Setup') and added the filter I described above. But now the report will not come up. It works and works on generating it until it finally times out.

Has anyone else tried anything like this before?

Hi Rebecca: This sounds like a tech support case to me. Smart Lists should work in email reports, and I have used them in the past.
