Using Marketo to design/view mobile-optimized email campaigns

Hello,

We have been having some issues with the design of our emails, and would like to harness whatever tools Marketo might have to help us in this regard.  As I was doing research in the Community, I found something about the eDesign Optimizer, but the Setup link on this resource page is broken:

Is that tool what I should be using?  Where else can I find information on it?

Generally, how do your organization optimize for mobile/platforms?  Do you do that work outside of Marketo or can it be done in this system?

I hired Grazitti to do responsive templates. They are the backbone behind Marketo's services team but cheaper to work with them direct. Email them at haris@grazitti.com. Very reasonable fees and fast turnaround and good work.

So it really seems like this is something that has to be done outside of Marketo, right?  I don't see much about mobile in the Community or Help area.

Christina, did Grazitti work with your usual graphic design team to come up with templates?  We have a team in-house that designs all of our emails, and I'm trying to figure out how to implement this.  When you send out emails, do you send out a desktop and an email version?  Or do the templates you had designed incorporate media queries to adjust for the viewing screen?

I dont know HTML or have an internal resource so I had to go outside. I have 1 template that is responsive based on the screen of the person viewing it. Grazitti can use exising templates/design and they also have a design team.

Im not sure what you will get here from Marketo because they had told me that responsive templates were not even possible.

Thank you Murtza!  In terms of deploying these, is there something we need to do in the code so that mobile users receive these versions?  Just want to know how I can direct my graphic design team to work with the templates.

You can use the same template across devices. Responsive means it will adjust based on user's screen size.

I think you already saw my post in the other Marketo thread, however, we have the exact solution that you're looking for.

You no longer need to work with external agencies, or fiddle with the code in the Marketo templates. Using Knak, Marketers can make fully responsive email templates, with no coding required.

I see that you've already tried out Knak. What did you think?
