Updating Smart List Criteria on an Active Campaign

Hello!

I regularly use campaigns to update data points, and whenever possible, I reuse them to avoid a large number of 1-time campaigns.  My question is related to the "reuse" of these campaigns.  Once I run a smart campaign with one list, do I need to wait until it is completely processed before changing the smart list or flow for my next run?  For example, I'm updating Industry for my contacts - some smart lists have 800-1,000 leads, while others have ~100 leads.  I have been waiting in between switches for as many leads to process as possible, as I obviously don't want to miss any that need updates, but the larger lists are taking quite a bit of time to process.

I'm under the impression that what I'm doing is fine, but before I process some largerst Smart Lists, I thought I would turn to Community for validation.  Does updating the criteria of a smart list once you schedule/run a campaign have any negative impacts on the original leads?

Thanks!

I would refrain from editing the smart list/flow step area of the campaign if the campaign is running. Maybe what you could do instead is have five campaigns that you alternate when a campaign is in the middle of completing the flow.

Thanks Carol - I'll do that!  I noticed after I posted this that one of my earlier updates didn't process all the way, so I must have jumped the gun on switching the smart list.  Thanks again for the suggestion!
