True Lead Nurturing Possible?

Hello All,

I wanted to make a true lead nurturing campaign but I can't seem to find any way of doing so in Marketo or in the community. 

The diagram below is something similar to what I had in mind. Any thoughts?

The drip that you outlined would be possible via smart campaigns. You'd use a number of campaigns, one of which would be the primary content send, with the different emails and wait times between them. Another would be a gate keeper of sorts to pull the lead out of the drip if the requisite actions occur.

You can do similar things with the engagement program also, though you can't change the wait times unless you build out multiple streams or programs.

Long story short: yes, you can do this.

Don't use Engagements here.

1. Scoring will be independent of this nurture. So yes, if they click, they will be scored, but abstract that out of the above image.
2. You will need several campaigns. One campaign will be the traffic cop and listen for specific actions.

The others might be:

Entry Point - add leads to the first campaign.
Send A-
send first email
wait 2 days
Send Email 2
Wait 5 days
Send email 3
wait 5 days
Send email 4
Wait 5 days
Send Email 5

Listen for Click 1 - if yes, then Wait 2 days, assign to Rep, Remove from Flow Send A
If no, do nothing

Listen for File Download (click link or visits page), if Yes, then Remove from Send A, add to Send B,
 

Send B
Send Email Demo Offer

Listen for Acceptance of Demo offer, if yes, then assign to Sales.

I would still use the engagement program for this one.

Here is how I would put it together:

·         Build the engagement program with two streams;
   o   General stream: scheduled for every day of week (scheduling will happen in the smart campaigns)
   §  Event summary Email
   §  Event Recap Blog Post
   §  Free white paper offer
   §  Webinar Invite
   o   Demo offer stream: scheduled for every day of week
   §  Demo Offer email
·         Build a transition rule to go to the Demo Offer Stream
   o   If downloads free white paper, change to demo offer stream.
·         Add scoring rules
   o   If clicked on link in email, increase score
   §  Event Recap Blog Post
   §  Free white paper offer
·         Add Smart Campaigns to pause and restart leads in streams
   o   Campaign one: Pause leads
   §  Pauses leads after each send
   o   Campaign two: restart leads 2 days
   §  Un-pauses leads after one day if sent email, Event summary Email in last 3 days
   o   Campaign three: restarts leads 5 days
   §  Un-pauses leads after four days if sent other emails
·         Final Smart campaign to send alert to sales and remove from program
   o   Campaign four: send to sales
   §  Assigns sales rep to lead if clicked on email, Event summary Email
   §  Removed lead from program.
