Hi,
In our Salesforce instance there are three people that we want notified when a Contact or Lead MQLs. The BDA, Account Owner, and AM. Every Account has an owner but not every account has an AM or BDA. Our leads when hooked up to an existing account will pull this information down as well as our contacts so the fields are coming over to Marketo fine.
I've used token in the Send Alert step in our MQL flow, however I've noticed that though the step seems to succeed in the 'Results' tab the email doesn't actually send. My guess is because the AM and BDA are sometimes blank so the email tries to send to person1@company.com, {blank}, person2@company.com for example.
My questions are 1. Would having a blank token stop the email from sending? 2. What would be the best way to set this up? Would we need to have constraints/choices in the flow step to check for the data not being null?
Hi Joe Rodden,
Can you add a default email address (generic company email that you have an inbox for) to your token that will be used if the AM or BDA is blank. You could test that pretty easily to see if it works or if that is the cause of your issue.

Hi Gerard,
So my email is actually hardcoded onto it. It was working fine with the single token for Account Owner (assuming since that's always there) it stopped sending once I added the AM and BDA, which won't be on every account. So can confirm it stops actually sending once others are added in.
