Time for new releases to actually occur

Hello, 

I was wondering how long it takes after a release/update is announced to actually occur on my instance. Specifically the 2015 one. Thanks.

It should be instant on everyone's instance. For example, the last release will go live for everyone on January 23rd at 6pm PT.

Occasionally major updates are done over several weeks or days. Please refer to the update notes for details.

Our process is to send the Release Communication out one week in advance.  In the communication, we specify the date that your instance will be upgraded.  In the case of the January 2015 release, it will take just a couple of hours after the date/time specified, before it shows up in your instance.
