Third Party Webinars

My company sponsors webinars through a third party host. This third party then sends us a  list of people who register and attend each webinar that they host and we sponsor. We cannot connect anything Marketo related to their webinars so we have to continue to receive .csv of the lists of people. For a while I have just been importing the list of attendees and associating it with a program that I create for the specific webinar. Now that I am also receiving the list of people who are registered I would like to have both lists associated with the webinar program. How do I associate both lists to the program but still see them separately as the people who registered and then the people who attended?

Re: Third Party Webinars

Some of our webinars are done through a portion of our company that does not natively sync with Marketo. So, what we do is when they send us the registration list, I upload that list into the event. Then I run a campaign to change the program status to show as Registered for everyone on that list. Then when we get the attendees, I upload them into a different list and run another campaign to change the program status to show as Attended for the event. We actually go 1 step further and anyone who was still at registered once that is done, we run a campaign to show as No Show for the webinar. That way we go through the same steps as if the webinar was synced through GTW, but we use list imports.

Re: Third Party Webinars

Are you using Program Status? That's the way I would do it.

Re: Third Party Webinars

An easier way to accomplish this is to use the Import Members function in the desired program and specify the Member Status in the final import screen - no smart campaign required to change the program status.

Re: Third Party Webinars

Thanks all for your help! We've decided to go the suggested route with keeping everything in one program/event and using a change in the status, specifically the way that Elliott suggested since that seems easiest.
