I have leads that have visited our site (and therefore are cookied
by marketo) but instead of submitting a form, leads have called us directly and gave us their email address in the process. We manually created a lead associated with that email address. Since there is no way for marketo to know, those two leads (i.e. the anonymous and the one we created) will be two separate leads in marketo. If we run a tagging campaign and if the lead we created clicks on a link in the tagging email, will marketo merge the two leads and therefore recover all the information in the anonymous lead? Is this the whole purpose of the tagging email campaign?
