Quick initial hello to everyone! We are getting up and running with Marketo and while it is a lot to digest, it's exciting at the same time. Can anyone provide suggestions for a vendor/partner for SMS? We are also looking for an Event App vendor/partner as well. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated as we go through this discovery and due diligence process. Thanks!
Twilio or Informatica are the only ones I've heard of.
Be sure that your forms and workflow for obtaining permission follow the regulations for each country you plan to SMS in.
Twilio for SMS, CVent or Certain for events.
Marketo has an event checkin app as well if that will cover your needs
We used to have Twilio and it wasn't very user friendly. Not sure if we had a unique setup of Twilio, but it would generally take a few hours to set up one campaign.
We're now using the Oxygen8 gateway through a solution developed by Hoosh Marketing, and it's sooo much better. It integrates seamlessly into Marketo, we can easily personalise and track the messages, and a basic two-way SMS campaign now only takes a few minutes to setup. We're running automated retention SMS programs, allowing customers to check-in to events via SMS, being able to apply trackable links to SMS, and have the ability to separate operational (no Opt Out) from marketing SMS (with Opt Out). Plus, all of the opt outs are captured and managed via a SMS centre within Marketo.
I'd highly recommend reaching out to Fab Capodicasa for more info or feel free to ask me any questions. I'd be happy to help.
Hi Tim - We're new to Marketo as well. We're currently sending SMS via Vibes. Vibes is planning to have their Marketo integration live in the next 8-12 weeks. Vibes has been a great partner, but we're also considering moving to a new SMS partner because we're looking for a more robust integration with Marketo than what will be available in the next few months.
I wanted to let you know that our Marketo Account Manager recommended Urban Airship for SMS; however Urban Airship does not offer SMS (so it's not a viable solution.)
Please let us know who you decide to move forward with!
Twilio and Cvent are good ones.
