Hi all,
Is there anyway to show Marketo reports in a Salesforce dashboard?
I've put together some dashboards in Salesforce to track some of our marketing campaigns. In these dashboards we're able to see Appointments booked, Tasks completed, Closed Won Opportunities and Open Opportunities so pretty much covering most of what we care about in Salesforce.
However we'd love to include the stats that Marketo tracks, especially in Email reports. Things like how many people opened the emails, how many clicked links in the email, etc. would be perfect to have as part of the Salesforce dashboard. This way we could have every campaign metric we care about in the one place, giving us a full view of the effectiveness of the campaign.
Is there any feasible way to show a Marketo report in a Salesforce dashboard? Even if we could sync Marketo report stats to Salesforce campaign fields and build a dashboard component from there that would also achieve what I'm after.
Thanks in advance for the feedback.
Cheers,
Andy
I've only been in Marketo for about a month but as soon as we rolled it out this was the first thing I was after (previous role SF Admin).
If you really need the information I believe it can be done by creating a Smart List that says whenever Click Link in Email Program ### as the criteria and have the flow step add them to a certain SFDC Campaign. You can then do the same thing for those that open.
It would just be so many campaigns if you wanted to get specific that I think you'd get sick of it.
I did however created this Idea - that I hope gets noticed as my last line states my wish list that covers exactly this.
Thanks for your response Josh, good to know someone else has come up against this problem!
The Smart List idea is a functional work around but like you mentioned, if we wanted to track emails delivered/opened/links clicked it would quickly become resource intensive to set this up for every campaign. Good to know there's a way to get it done though if we're desperate.
I'm hoping there's a more elegant solution, potentially using a VisualForce page that could bring the Marketo report in as a component in the Salesforce dashboard or perhaps there's another way to sync Marketo report data with Salesforce campaign fields. Otherwise I've up-voted your idea and I'll let you know if I come up with a better solution.
This is not generally possible without some fancy programming.
While using SFDC Campaigns can be helpful, you may find this is not a good solution as you use the SFDC Campaigns linked to Programs, not emails.
I know others have asked for this, but what is the real utility here of adding individual email campaign data to SFDC? Is sales going to make a decision on that? Is it just you don't want to circulate a spreadsheet later? The cost of doing this may not be worth it.
