Marketo doesn't offer an out-of-the-box feature, like simpler platforms such as Mailchimp, for customising or optimising email send times based on audience metrics or individual engagement. While the A/B test feature for send times offers insights for campaign scheduling, we're exploring automated processes that adjust with each interaction.
We're currently testing an approach using lead scores and webhooks to identify a contact’s most frequent open timeframe and send emails via nested programs based on their allocated timeframe. However, I'm curious to know what strategies others in the Marketo community have tried.
Does anyone have experience with deploying effective approaches to automate and update send times for contacts continuously?
Hi @brodieallan,
Yes, Marketo Engage does not have any OOTB capability to optimize send time apart from A/B testing your send time.
But if you have RCE add on with you subscription you can very optimize you send day & time by having an in depth analysis of all your email send programs.
You can check what days of week & what time of day your leads are clicking your emails with filters on time frame.
You can have more details of RCE email Analysis here.
Hope this Helps 😊
Hi @uditmathur,
Thanks for replying and for the helpful information.
While RCE may provide us with detailed information to help guide manual changes, we are exploring processes that continuously analyse data and automatically adjust optimised times based on contact behaviour. We are also exploring AI tools to provide such services.
Hi @brodieallan ,
Yes, automatic optimization of the send time can not be achieved OOTB with Marketo.
You can only get reports to analyze the best time.😊
