We are trying to pull a report of a program to show the effectiveness of it.
Ideally we would like to have a chart showing a list of leads and the score they have accumulated through this specific program. Then the management wants to view a chart showing number of people in every pool (got 10-19 point, got 20-29 points, got 30-39 points, etc.)
The change score filter only allows exact score value, for example, score changed by 20, it does not count people whose score was changed by 19 or 21. And the data value change filter will not allow us to time stamp the date a lead became a member of this program, so there is no way to define the score change within a time frame, for example, while a lead is going through an engagement stream. Is there anyway to report on the "score changed by this program"?
On the other hand, is there anyway to exclude a program or a lead from scoring rules? for example, no scoring for an internal email blast, or employees. Please share if your ideas and thoughts, thanks!
This has always been difficult in Marketo. I'm not convinced this is the right question to ask because Scoring is a bit abstract. The simple answer is to extract the data to a BI tool and try there.
Do you have RCM/RCE? That would better answer the question: Did this Program help move people through the funnel? Or make any money?

Yes, you can exclude people or assets from scoring by filtering them in the scoring smart list.

Thank you for the answer! Unfortunately we do not have any RCM/RCE now. We recently ran an engagement program and pushed a large amount of MQL to SFDC. However, when we inspected them, most of the leads were at almost MQL status when entered the engagement program. But we only want to know the leads actually nurtured and engaged with this engagement program to reach MQL, say accumulated 30 points in the stream. Is there anyway we can achieve that?
you can try:
Member of Engagement is TRUE
Was Sent Email XYZ
Lead Status Was Changed to MQL after entering Engagement (whatever date range)
Score (or Data Value) Was Changed to AT LEAST 30 (whatever date range)
may give you closer to what you want. You can try using CLicked if that was the scoring criteria.
The "score was changed" filter only allow us to define the exact points change (only "change is XXX or is not XXX").
Our threshold of MQL is 60 and we are trying to exclude people who are already 50 or 55 before entering the program. I will try the click filter, too.
We are imagining a report of MQL with programs have influenced this lead and points accumulated with each program. Sounds like a long shot...
