Hi,
Just looking for a Marketo user to bounce this idea off of.
In our lifecycle that we're about to kick off soon we have an entry way set up for leads that were created by sales reps (one off's in case they run into a random person who is interested in purchasing).
Currently we have a smart list that catches these leads as they come from SFDC and as they hit Marketo they are immediately assigned to a smart campaign and that assigns the stages related to Sales Accepted Leads.
So our flow now for these leads is:
Program Status: Sales Accepted
Revenue Cycle Stage: Sales Accepted
Revenue Stage: Sales Accepted
However I'm thinking it makes sense to make use of the sales created revenue stage we have here and setting the flow to:
Program Status: Sales Created
Revenue Stage: Sales Created
Program Status: Sales Accepted
Revenue Cycle Stage: Sales Accepted
Revenue Stage: Sales Accepted
No wait steps. I figure this way we can better report on the leads that were sales created. The inflow outflow of all these leads should be all of them as there isn't anything to hold them up from sales created to sales accepted.
Just looking for thoughts here...
Hi Jason - I see no harm in doing this. You can then measure in RCE Lifecycle Model Reports the number of People that flow from Sales Created to Sales Accepted using the From Stage and To Stage measures. I assume that's what you're looking to gain insight into by doing this, how many leads go directly from Sales Created to Sales Accepted compared to how many go down the success path to Sales Accepted.
