Resetting the score and SFDC API calls limit

Hello everyone,

I'm working on redoing the scoring process to better match our sales funnel (and because our previous one wasn't really meaningful). I need to reset over 150,000 leads to zero. My problem is that I run into the API call limit with Salesforce if I update the score all at once. I also need to run a few batch campaigns to reset the Demographic score using the new parameters. Any suggestion on how to proceed would be welcomed.

Thanks,
Franco

Re: Resetting the score and SFDC API calls limit

Hi Franco,
I have heard of Salesforce temporarily taking the API limit off for projects like these. I would suggest to contact them to see if that is possible.

Otherwise, you could set up campaigns with wait steps of 1 day and segment your scoring resets. For example, you could reset every lead who's email address starts with a-c tomorrow, then d-g the next day, etc...

Re: Resetting the score and SFDC API calls limit

Thank you Will! I was hoping to avoid having to segment the data, also because after resetting the score to zero, I have to run at least 10/15 batches campaign to "rescore" leads with the new indications......
