I need to make a change to our website forms to accomodate phone extensions. Right now everything works great except when you enter a phone number with an extention, Marketo recognizes it as invalid and the lead cannot submit their request. Then they are constrained to only entering a 10 digit number. This makes it difficult for our sales team to get a hold of the lead directly, having to hunt for the ext.
We don't want to add more fields to our form to deter form fill outs. RIght now we just have it checked as required, the input type is text, and max length is 255.
What can I change on this form to make it accept extensions and still be a required field?
