Remove from flow not working on opportunity campaign

I have a post-demo nurture campaign running to any opportunity marked with the stage Post Demo Positive, Post Demo Luke Warm or Post Demo Negative.

Each has its own smart campaign. Below I've taken screenshots of the smart lists and flows. For several weeks our sales reps keep getting tasks and prospects keep getting emails even though the opportunity stage was updated.

To combat this I created separate remove campaigns (batch and trigger) and it still continues to run! I'm so lost. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong by looking at these screenshots?

Re: Remove from flow not working on opportunity campaign

Hey Mariah,

Removing people from a smart campaign flow that they have already been through will not undo the steps that the original smart campaign took.

To prevent a person receiving nurture comms you need to change their nurture cadence from "Normal" to "Paused". You can also change them into a stream that has no content if you wish (I've seen some nurture applications with a stream to hold all converted/completed leads).

Removing people from a flow generally makes more sense when you're removing specific people from within that campaign flow you plan to reference (while it's steps are in progress) because the remaining steps don't make sense for them. (As an arbitrary example, in a flow to commit actions upon a event registration form fill out, you may remove people who selected no dietary requirements and continue additional actions for those who did select a dietary requirement)

Hope that helps.

Re: Remove from flow not working on opportunity campaign

Hello Grace,

Thank you for your response. I can see how the nurture cadence changing from Normal to Paused might help. Right now the program is built with the channel as Email - Promotion with each opportunity stage as a different smart campaign. In this setup, I cannot change the cadence.

I am currently rebuilding the programs. The main program channel (Post Demo Nurture) is now set as a Nurture channel with each opportunity stage (Positive, Negative, Luke Warm) as a different program. In the individual programs, I have smart campaigns- Add and Pause - to the main program (Post Demo Nurture).

Here is the updated look at my smart list and flow for the Positive - Add campaign:

The Pause campaign is currently set as a trigger campaign. Would you recommend creating both a batch and trigger Pause campaign? Here is a look at the (trigger) Positive - Pause campaign smart list and flow:

I'll also need to create a Success campaign but does this new program set up look correct, or can you anticipate any future issues I might face?

Thank you!!

Hi Mariah,

One thing to consider is this filter here:

I'm not 100% sure, but this may cause your trigger to not work. Essentially, the triggers for Remove from Post Demo (all nurtures) would only work if there was already an existing Opportunity. Have you tried removing this and see what happens?

Best,

Edwin
