We're using an engagement program for a weekly newsletter. Every week, a new email is dropped in the stream, activated, and scheduled to deactivate the date after the intended send. We would like to send this by recipient's time zone for our Americas audience.
The email cadence is every Tuesday at 11 AM recipient time zone. However, we can't drop the email and activate until earliest 6 PM on Monday - which is within the 25 hours recommended.
Our question is - does it matter that we're activating the content within the 25 hours? Since this is only for our Americas region, technically that should be enough time. That 25 hours is really only important for the first cast right? If we don't touch the cadence anymore and just drop, activate, and deactivate email, we should be good? If anyone can pleas confirm, that would be greatly appreciated. If you could think of any other nuances (i.e. someone being added/unsubscribed within 25 hours of send, what if we forget to schedule the deactivate, etc), kindly please share!
Thanks!
Hi @Camille_Venturi ,
With Recipient Time Zone active your Engagement program will start running at midnight in UTC +14:00 (midnight of the earliest time zone).
Since your stream could have people qualifying from various time zones its always recommended to schedule it at least 25hours before the 1st cast.
So to answer your question, i will recommend you to activate your email at least 25 hours prior so that if there are people from earlier time zone (other the Americas) will also qualify for your cast.
Hope this helps 😊
