"Not lead was created" field means what?

Can anyone tell me what this inactivity field means?  

I'm thinking of using it in a trigger campaign that says if data value changed but this lead wasn't created just now (meaning it existed in my marketo database prior to this) that it should do xyz in the flow step.  

Essentially, I'm trying to distinguish between a data value that changed upon creation of the lead vs. the same data value changing after the lead has already sat in our system.

Hey Valerie,

"Not Lead Was Created" is used to filter leads that did not become known leads in a given period of time.  This means that the "New Lead" activity did not occur in the time period that you designate.


For the trigger campaign that you're trying to construct, you do not neew to distinguish between values populated on lead creation, and "Data Value Changes" activities.  Fields that are populated on lead creation do not create "Data Value Changed" activities, and won't fire the corresponding triggers.
