"Not In Program" Program Status - Is it ever not 0?

Hey Marketo Community,
I noticed today that when I clicked on a Program in Marketing Activities that the listing of Members by Program Status now has a status for Not in Program. That is certainly not once of my statuses that I've set up in Admin. I know there is the option to remove someone from a program by changing their status to "Not in Program" but I thought it wasn't a real status, just a way to remove poeple from programs. Am I missing something here? Isn't the number of members in a program who are not in the program always 0?

Thanks.

I was testing "Not in Program" yesterday for an Advanced Engagement Program to ensure the lead would not receive any further emails if they were changed to "Not in Program".

So I added two leads (2 different emails for myself) and then switched one lead to "Not in Program" and left the other one in the program". When I ran the Enagagement Program the lead which I switched to "Not in Program" did not receive the email, but also does not show up in the "Not in Program" status as shown below:

I saw this too and thought it would act like Jared suggested, but clearly it does not.

I'm wondering if Marketo is prepping something like that, but it's now buggy?
