Ok - thanks again Sanford! That makes sense and sounds like it would be a good way to deploy globally for embeding on an external site.

I think we'll do some tests with reusing one social widget on multiple pages and then try building our own social buttons in rich text on a form.

Let us know how you make out, Nikki.  I never thought of using this approach (another useful tip from Sandy).  The best part is - aside from the automatic embed code - is you can create these using your own styles (and your own social networks beyond FB, TW, LI) vs. having to rely on the single style approach that Marketo offers (if you have the social boost and promotion add-on) - which is this (and yes, literally this small):
