Question on Static Lists for A/B Split Test

Hi,

I'm doing a 50/50 A/B split test using the random sample flow step. I have 5 static lists that will be part of this campaign. So my question is, if I just select these 5 lists, will the system automatically select the random sample; or do I have to combine these into ONE static list for it to work properly? Thanks!

Re: Question on Static Lists for A/B Split Test

You will need to bring all 5 lists into your Smart List.

In the Flow, set Random Sample IS 50, Send Email A, Default = Send Email B.

If you want to get more refined, then you need to run the Random sample at 20% and have it dump the leads into 5 separate lists randomly.

Why not use the Email Send Program instead?

Thanks Josh. Actually I was considering whether to use the Email Send program but - correct me if I'm wrong - under analytics it only reports the overall performance. Well, I guess I can extract that separately under the program dashboard.
