Progression Status Throwing Off Flow

Has anyone else run into the issue of progression status throwing off nurture flows? We recently updated a couple of our nuture campaigns to add a progression status of 'sent' - did this as a way to track conversions. However, since we did that, I'm noticing that our flow doesn't seem to be functioning - the email after the next wait step isn't sending. 

Not sure if there's a deeper issue or if maybe the progression status is throwing it off? The campaign ran through a few flow steps before we added it in with no issue.

Three ideas:
  • Do you have any notifications in the top left corner of your Marketo instance?  There may be an error in this campaign throwing things off
  • Have you tried removing the progression status step in the flow?  It may be a coincidence that the problem began at the same time.  With many people in your Marketo instance there may be other causes to consider
  • Have you tried cloning the smart campaign and running a test?  There are cases where campaigns become corrupted and creating a clone can solve the issue.  I'd set up a duplicate campaign with shorter wait steps and run tests with your internal test list.

Those are all good ideas. I usually would clone and test a program like that first.

Did the Sent status exist previously or did you add it to the custom channel?

I'd walk through the intended progressions and flows to see just what is triggered and when.

Thanks so much for your help. Cloned the campaign and ran a test, which worked with no issue. Have no notifications indicating any issues.

Josh - I'm not sure what you mean by adding it to the custom channel, I believe it existed previously and we just added it into the flow. 

I'm monitoring our leads, and its a few days past the wait step for a number of them, and nothing past the 2nd email send has been run - seems as if the flow just stopped. Is there a way to get these leads back on the drip or restart the flow?

If I understand this correctly, you cloned the corrupted smart campaign, shortened the wait steps, and it works fine.
 

I would remove all leads from flow in the corrupted smart campaign, create a new smart campaign that picks up where that one left off, and add them all into the new one.  

If you don't have forks in your program this will be easy, but it can get complicated if you have any sub-campaigns.
