That's my preference, too - and we do. However, we have some people coming into Marketo without the required fields populated for syncing to SFDC. That's another battle.

Yes, but in this case, even if you can compute the total score with a webhook, you will not be able to push the lead to SFDC for sales assignment anyway

It's really important that you set up Marketo programs to add default values for fields that are required by SFDC

Yes, of course. But with the webhook, we have the total score data in Marketo regardless of whether or not the lead is synced to SFDC.

There's a reason we stopped adding default values that is specific to the setup of this company.
