Performance Issue-Nurture with flow steps

We launched a nurture for 200k leads and they go through atleast 4-5 steps in the flow after the campaign is requested before the email  is sent out.
Has anyone done that and it has been 2 day now still 100k leads are getting processed. Also, the 100k that got processed are not moving ahead but sitting in a queue.
This is slowing down the process, has anyone experience that.
Also, since leads are going through none of the other trigger, lead score behavior or fill out form is working because they are at the bottom of the queue.
Any sugesstion on how to make them run as well while nurture is running, can I prioritize which queue to process.

Thanks,
Rani

Re: Performance Issue-Nurture with flow steps

Rani,

If you do a search, you'll see people have had similar issues with large batches. There are a few things to check before you call support:
  • are you using Smart Lists, Lists or Segmentations? Lists or Segmentations will run faster. Smart List driven systems will be very slow with 200K leads.
  • Which steps are running before Send Email? Send email should be near the top if possible because it is a lower priority for the system.
  • Are the socring or other triggers outside of the main flow?
  • How is this system designed? Is this a traffic cop nurture or a large drip (single flow) campaign?
In your situation, I'd speak to support after evaluating the system.

Re: Performance Issue-Nurture with flow steps

Hi Josh,

Our nurture track based on traffic cop concept which Marketo recommended in the user summit.
Lead score and other trigger are outside this track and we have taken care of all the other element that you mentioned below,  but still we are seeing performance issue.
Support is has not been that great!

Thanks for your response!
