I can never find anything in the discussions so I'll start my own. Is there a way to set up online registrations through Marketo? Can Marketo block someone from a website if they aren't registered? Thanks!
Just to expand on what Greg said - Marketo cannot handle passwords (nor should it) but it could check against existing data in Marketo or another system if you add jquery, etc. As Greg mentioned, it is better to use another tool to handle product registrations and free trials for authentication. Yes, you can use that Form to post data to Marketo.
I gather what you would like to achieve is a kind of private portal with Marketo, where someone would need to register/create an account and then log in to access some of the pages?
If I get it correctly, this is not possible with Marketo only. You will need a CMS with this type of functionality such as Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress or many others. There are many example of using these portals in conjunction with Marketo.
