Hi,
I have a workflow where I need to remove the leads from SFDC campaign membership. In my marketo smart campaign, I am sourcing in the name of SFDC campaign as token (i.e. {{lead.Custom Campaign Field}}.
While creating campaign membership and updating status, I am able to use the {{lead.Custom Campaign Field}} in my "Add to SFDC Campaign" and "Change Status in SFDC Campaign". However, not able to use the same {{lead.Custom Campaign Field}} syntax while in "Remove from SFDC campaign". I get following error
Could not find sfdcCampaign by id={{lead.Custom Campaign Field}}
Can you please help.
Deepak
Hi Deepak,
You need to provide an SFDC campaign ID, not name. SFDC IDs are 18 digits that uniquely identify a record in SFDC. You can find the 15 digits ID as well in the URL when you look at the campaign is SFDC.
It will look like this https://eu0.salesforce.com/70157000000sxnh

Thanks Gregoire for the response.
I am somewhat surprised that we can create a campaign member and also update the status using Campaign name. However, to remove a lead from campaign it requires ID. Any specific reason for this behavior?
Thanks
Deepak
Hi Deepak,
I do not see any, excepted a distracted product manager
May be Justin Cooperman knows more.
