Monitoring Errors in Activity Log via Smart list

Is this possible? Marketo leads will not sync with SFDC if the state code is wrong. As a result we see the following error in the activity log.

"FIELD_INTEGRITY_EXCEPTION: There's a problem with this country, even though it may appear correct. "

This only shows via the activity log on a lead. We have no way to know when leads aren't syncing.

Is there a way to monitor for this using a smart list? Any other ways to alert users when this error occurs? Are there specific filters that pertain to the activity log?

Thanks,

Alex

I'm sure there's something that you could set up. I had a few companies from my tech stack pushing leads through with errors (misformatted information and stuff like that) so their leads didn't sync. I set up a batch campaign that looks for any leads created in the past week that aren't in SFDC so I can follow up and fix the errors.

Hi Alex,

No solution here. See Marketo / salesforce integration needs a serious overhaul, don't you "sync"?  and more precisely the last chapter in the post, there are quite a few ideas around this issue.

Re: Monitoring Errors in Activity Log via Smart list

Hi Christina,

Contact ID#18 and Lead ID #28 are not standard fields

SFDC Type is empty should suffice anyway.

If you have a lead lifecycle campaign that is supposed to push new leads to SFDC, I would rather try:

- Member of smart campaign IS [my lead lifecycle campaign]

and

- SFDC Type is empty

But at the end of the day, my technique or Chrsitina's will only retrieve INSERT errors, not update ones.

And typically, errors on picklist values may happen on update as well as on insert.

Thank you both. I appreciate the feedback. Lead created should do the trick for now
