I'm using Bizible touchpoints to identify referrals sign ups on our website. Question is, user lands on our website with a link like this https://testsite.com/signup/?utm_source=external_partners&utm_medium=referrals&REFERRALCODE=testrefe... but doesn’t sign up right away. When they land again on testsite.com and sign up, does it still capture the original link used? As landing page? Or is the landing page now going to be testsite.com?
If a person's first web session originated from an external/referral site with UTMs, and then they visit the website via the direct site, the first session will end and a new session is opened related to the web-direct. Form fill and lead creation touchpoints would be associated with the web-direct traffic. However, you can always create and log touchpoints for the anonymous web visits, just that the lead creation and form fill touchpoints would be accounted to the exact site address that the visitor interacted with to become a known record.
