Marketo/CRM (MS Dynamics) contact sync is very slow for us

Last year, Marketo supposedly enhanced many MSD integration improvements - and one of those items was to speed up the sync between both platforms.  Lately, we've been experiencing upwards of 40 minutes before updates to a Contact record make it's way into the lead record in Marketo.  This is pretty substantial when you have workflows that need to trigger in a timely manner - especially for things like lead assignment, real-time alerts, lead progression, etc.  It's not quite as long for Lead records in CRM, but still takes about 30 minutes.

Are others - that use either SFDC or MSD - experiencing this same delay?

Hey Dan,

I know your instance is on the new MSD sync infrastructure so if you think updates are slower than they should be, you should file a support ticket to take a closer look.

Hi Dan,

Can you please share the experience. We are even facing the same issue. We are syncing number of fields. Is it the reason its taking too much time to sync.

The speed of the sync is definitely impacted by the number of fields you are syncing and the frequency of changes to them. How many do you have and how often do they change?

Thanks for reply. Right now we have more than 150 fields. We are in process of reducing the fields which we don't require to sync. We are only updating the few on lead activities/lead creation.
