What suggestions do you have for marketing pros who don't have access to a current Marketo instance, but want to learn?

Similarly, how do people who are between jobs stay in touch with the Marketo Community?

Any ideas appreciated.

I also think video (youtube) is the best way to preview and engage with people.

As well as a special newsletter for fans outside the community.

Hi Shannon,

When I was at Summit 2016 I was told in session that there was plans to open this community site to those who were not associated with a Marketo instance at the time aka those between jobs, between consultant gigs and I was told watch this space .... still watching ...

I had a few months between jobs last year and it was annoying that I could not access community in particular for the training materials, job opportunities page and MUG updates.

Hi Shannon -

The MMI training is hands-on class room training in a Marketo instance - all the attendees get log-ins. I don't know when they are scheduling New York.

My Marketo consultant pointed out that docs.marketo.com is open.

I will continue to keep an eye out, and hope others add suggestions. I think it can be a little disorienting if one is between workplaces and loses access to the Community.

Yes. That's been a great tool for internal use also. As we only have our Marketing team active in our instance, we often need to convey the functionality and best practices of our use to people in other departments, and have sent them links.

As Devraj Grewal mentions, the video platform is good for a grasp of rudimentary navigation - however a hand-on experience of working on instance is ultimately needed.
