[MARKETING] in the subject line?

Hi everyone -

When I sent myself some samples this morning, I noticed "[MARKETING] TEST" in the subject line. I thought maybe it was just renamed and brushed it off.

However, I've been receiving emails from other companies today and that is also their subject lines. Anyone else seeing this? Is this a Marketo thing? Or perhaps a new feature in email providers such as Outlook?

This is something happening on the mail server. When an email comes in, if it can categorize it and is configured to do so, it adds that. You may also see emails come in with the [SPAM] in front of it, for instance (hopefully not emails you send yourself!).

this is not a feature of marketo it is probably something happening on your mail server

I'm not seeing it from my Marketo instance! I would ask your Outlook administrator, I would guess this is something local to your system.
