Hello Community -
We are about to launch sales insights to our sales team, does anyone have any recommendations on how to limit sales insight access to certain profiles in Salesforce?
Thanks!
Christine

Yes, you can control this with the page layout assignments in SFDC. Create new lead/contact page layouts that contain Marketo Sales Insight, and assign these to the user profiles that should be able to access it. (Or, create a new dedicated MSI user profile and corresponding page layouts, and move users who need access to this new profile.)

Thank you, Emily!
We are working through this exact setup now to assign users.
Emily - this may be a dumb question but you can add both leads and contacts to your watch list correct? Currently we only have the MSI layout set up for leads and I can't test on a contact record. Thank you!
Yep, you can add both contacts and leads to your watch list. Some more info on MSI functionality here! Marketo Sales Insight - Marketo Docs - Product Docs
Thank you so much!
Emily - I have a couple of other questions:
On the "My Email" tab will it only show MKTO emails sent to that lead/contact sent by the record owner? Or is it all MKTO emails sent to that lead/contact, regardless of sender?
And last question, will this include emails sent through salesforce that are not sent through Marketo?
Thank you for your help!
On the MSI dashboard (where it has tabs for Best Bets, My Watch List, etc) the My Emails tab shows Marketo emails that the SFDC user has sent to records (even if they are not the owner.. it will appear if they sent the email). On the MSI section of the individual lead and contact page layouts, it shows all Marketo emails that were sent to that record. SFDC emails (meaning, not emails that were sent using the MSI tool) will not show up.
Thank you, Emily!
I just checked the my email tab for our team members and no emails are populating, is there a setting I need to check?
If you followed the installation instructions in here: Admin (MSI) - Marketo Docs - Product Docs then it should work! To troubleshoot, I would just create a test lead record (with your own email address is fine), send that lead a Marketo email from SFDC, and then check and see if it appears in the My Email tab in the MSI dashboard. If it doesn't appear after a couple minutes, probably a Support ticket is the next step.
