We are promoting a webinar via different methods (Google AdWords, LinkedIn ads etc.)
I'm trying to track lead sources so I know which promotional campaigns work the best. This is the set up:
1. We have a WordPress webinar registration page sitting on our corporate website
2. That page has a "Register Now" button that when clicked leads to a blank Marketo landing page (imagine a white smaller pop-up window)
3. That Marketo landing page has a Marketo form that we use to capture registrations
If I were to use only a Marketo landing page for the sign ups, I’d use hidden fields in the Marketo form and parameters I’d add to the end of the landing page URL (?ref=LinkedInAd) for example. Now, this doesn't work since I’m giving the Wordpress URL (not the Marketo URL) to vendors.
Has anyone encountered a similar situation? Did you find a way to track the lead sources?
