Lead scores reporting

Hi,
I am looking for best practices for reporting on lead score and how they have changed over time. I am trying to figure out the best way to follow the trend of lead scores month to month.

Thanks

Re: Lead scores reporting

It depends!
I usually try to pull the current count of leads within a bucket range
  • Under 0
  • 1-10
  • etc
Then you can compare this over time. SFDC is better at this, but you can do it in RCE if you have it.

I also look at average scores for each Stage.

Setup your lifecycle (LLC) to stamp the score at the time of stage change. Then you can see how the avg score at MQL or SQL is doing. Can be informative for you later.

Re: Lead scores reporting

Hi Josh,

How do I get my LLC to stamp the lead score at the time of status change?

I'm trying to see what our lead scores were for closed won opportunities at MQL, SAL, SQL, Opportunity Created & Opportunity Closed-Won stages, and this method you mention looks like it would do exactly that.

At the moment, it's a massive struggle to see this in Marketo/Salesforce and we need a better way to see this info quickly and easily in the future so that we can ensure that our scoring model is working as it should - eg, are the best leads always the ones with the highest score? Is the threshold we currently have to high/low? Should we be focusing on creating additional nurtures for leads within a set score range to help maximise conversion rates further down the funnel etc.

Many thanks,

Andrew

Re: Lead scores reporting

Great question Erin.  Also interested in this and spent time today trying to figure this out....Josh will try your approach, but I think there is also great value in Erin's ask, and would provide a cohort-specific view (based on Lead Create Date) to see changes and what impacted those changes.

Welcome other ideas/suggestions.
