We are partnering with companies who hold exterior sales teams and will be providing us leads via a Marketo form within our own instance. These reps will not be the lead or account owners in any way. They will just pass the lead if they find there's also interest in our products.
Is there a scalable approach to sending confirmations to the sales reps? Would the best way be the creation of a new Marketo field that would contain their email. We could then use this field as the send to value?

For sure the easiest way is to have a custom field for this purpose and Send Alert to that field.
Make sure the form is properly set up as a Referral Form (do not send the Munchkin cookie with the form data). You can have the referrer's email be a required field, and fill it from a query param if they want to have a bookmarkable referral page.
