Landing Page Domain CNAME Redirect

I have a Marketo Landing Page sub-domain: lp.company.com. The subdomain DNS CNAME record points to company.mktoweb.com. This vanity subdomain is working fine with that DNS, however if one were to visit the company string CNAME: http://company.mktoweb.com they are given a 404 page, and if they go to https://company.mktoweb.com they get a TLS cert error.

Is there a way to have the CNAME root domain company.mktoweb.com redirect to https://company.com?  lp.company.com does redirect to company.com as expected.
Is there a way to add the CNAME to our TLS certificate?

Thanks!

Re: Landing Page Domain CNAME Redirect

But why would anyone be opening the CNAME in their browser? The CNAME isn't meant to be exposed in any links. It's a DNS-level thing only... millions of CNAMEs are like this, not intended to ever be present in an HTTP Host header, only used to resolve IP addresses.
