Hi Greg,
how about the general speed/processing times improvements? and I am not even talking about just smart lists and campaigns, in our instance performing ANY action takes at least 5-10 seconds if not longer. We do deactivate/archive on regular basis, but it doesn't really solve the issue. We have both very large and complex SFDC and Marketo instances and the difference in speed always strikes me when I switch between the two systems.
Marketo claim they improved the speed a few years back, but another update/improvement in this area is really overdue, so I would suggest to add this idea to the list
Anyone having speed issues with Marketo?
Is anyone's instance running incredibly slow?
Hi Iryna,
Thx for this. I agree that slowness is a major time waster by it-self. My experience is that the issues varies very enormously but still, some quite simple queries on databases in the 200k lead range can already take minutes.

Greetings,
My comments also had nothing to do with processing list or leads. I develop/code emails and landing pages. My statement was in regards to doing almost anything in Marketo.
For example sending a test email with a single lead's data.
The recent updates seem to have knocked a second or two off of the 5-10 second wait but it appears to have been quickly countered with frequent flaws/bugs.
Yep, agree, processing times for lists and campaigns is a separate issue, I am also talking more about waiting for 5-10 seconds to open an email preview, approve a draft, even to click between Design Studio and Marketing activities
I would imagine the speed varies greatly across instances, we have 1M+ leads and we've been using Marketo for over 5 years now, so we have a lot of data, that's probably the root cause of everything being slow, but Marketo should come with a solution for this if they want to keep their big enterprise clients happy.
For the past few months now, this is becoming the norm when moving between the tabs (smart list, flow, schedule) of a smart campaign - and sometimes it never goes away and I need to refresh:
Oh yeah, happens in our instance all the time as well!
How about this one?
If you have Marketo open in several tabs and then logout/login again, that's what you'll see in each and every one of the tabs where Marketo is open, refreshing browser doesn't do anything, you have to close all the tabs, open Marketo in a new tab and start over.
I quite often don't turn off my computer when I leave the office and leave all the tabs I've been working in during the day open, so that next morning I can start exactly where I left. It works very well with everything (sfdc, google docs, etc), but not with Markto.
I've had this happen several times this week.
Hi Iryna,
If you go to Admin settings > Inactive Session Timeout - you can set a timelimit there and perhaps if you did 12 hours that would allow you to recommence next day where you left off.
