We just made available a new research brief from Sirius Decisions on how to approach your 2014 marketing budget allocations.  You can view the brief here.

I'd like to hear some of your tips on approaching the budgeting season.  Do you agree with the Sirius Decisions Strategic Allocation Model, or do you have another approach that would be useful to share with the Marketing Nation?

Thank you! One of the best models I've seen, to date. They also publish one called, "Tracking the True Costs of Marketing," which breaks down spend by company size, for software and non-software companies.  However, the 2013 report is not yet available.

Just as an FYI - not all countries share the same financial year 😉 Australia, for example, has a 1 July - 30 June fiscal year.
