Hi everyone,

I'm encountering an issue with the .ics calendar file when using the new Outlook. The file either doesn't open at all, or if it does, the location field is not populating as expected.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? If you've found a workaround or a solution, I’d really appreciate your input.

Here’s the link to the .ics file I'm using .

Thanks in advance!

@Abhi1405 we did a bunch more work on this tonight w/New Outlook. We found a regression in Outlook’s ICS parser that requires a specific property order (out of the iCal spec).

Agical has been patched for this Outlook bug.

Doing some of my own tests, think I see the problem(s):

  • “New Outlook” requires a proprietary iCalendar property X-MICROSOFT-LOCATIONSOURCE a proprietary property order not previously required. I should be able to add those to Agical within the next week.
  • Even when you switch to New Outlook, Classic Outlook remains associated with .ICS files.
  • Even when you associate .ICS files with New Outlook, double-clicking a file will open it in the Calendar tab but will not switch to that tab so you won’t see the Import dialog until you switch to Calendar (making it seem to not work).

Please provide a link with the tokens actually interpolated — that link will never work because it has the {{token}} placeholders still in it.
