Is it possible to create a trigger based on a Salesforce campaign type?

I'd like to score leads when someone reaches a certain status in a Salesforce campaign type.  Not all of our campaigns are integrated with Marketo, and the only way I can do this is on the name of the campaign in Salesforce.  However, this would be much cleaner and accurate if I could do it based on campaign type.

Unfortunately, you cannot specify the type in an "Activity is Logged" trigger or an "Activity was Logged" filter.  There is a possible workaround by adding a custom field to the Activity which is described in the following Idea - and you may want to vote for the idea while you are there ;0)

Add "Type" constraint to "Activity was Logged" filter
