I've read emails are tracked by including invisible images in emails. When an user only opens a text version of an email, are they still tracked? Is the invisible image just attached to the email?
This is true that emails are tracked with the help of a tiny pixel image. If the recipient opens a text-only image this means that the email doesn't not contain the pixel and therefor the open cannot be detected/tracked.
