Interesting moment for attending event

Hello Community!

I'd like to create an interesting moment for those that stopped by our booth at a tradeshow and score on that as well. Is this possible and where do I begin? Thanks!

I successfully did this for my seminars by using the program's name. Let say you tradeshow program is ABC Tradeshow, using the steps below you'll get in Sales Insight 'Attended ABC Tradeshow'.

OK... 3rd time is a charm. Sorry for spam posts above - it's Friday here in Australia.

I wont take any credit for having helped much - your fellow Marketoans did the heavy lifting. People helping people - it's a beautiful thing.

You should be able to automate the most of it.  You'll always need to import the list and tell Marketo what to do with the list (set program status).  Adding score and an interesting moment should be easy from there.

Thanks for all the great tips! Looks like this process won't be completely automated with every Tradeshow regardless of how we set it up.

Hi Jaclyn,

I like a hybrid of Dan and Kimi's responses.  I would leverage the program status as the smart list trigger and score and create interesting moments as Dan described.  Don't forget that you can also use tokens in the interesting moments to include the program name in the interesting moment.

Here's how we do it, using a channel and status:

We actually have a marketing representative on site to gather/enter them if the sales reps are too busy. Thank for the help Jeff!

I would recommend doing a batch campaign using the process I illustrated above. Dan has a great way of scoring.

Thanks Dan for that but I HIGHLY doubt our sales rep will fill out any form for a lead, sometimes we'll get a high number of leads that stop by and they just don't have the time (or patience) to fill out a form for each.

Jeff - we import all our lists directly into Marketo so it would go through a scoring program before syncing into SFDC.

Hey Jaclyn,

I really like the way Dan has set things up! For the interesting moment, you can manually trigger or set up a trigger campaign. If you manually trigger, you would pull in the "Interesting Moment" flow step. Something interesting to note is that you do not need to use the dropdown values for "Type". The values already there are Web, Email, Milestone. But you can change that to Trade Show, Webinar, or anything else you would like. Then you would put whatever not you would like in the "Description" field.

To create a trigger campaign, you will need a field that references the show so you can create a token to reference the show. How do the Leads that stop by get into your system? List import? FIll out a form? Scanned?

Hi Jaclyn,

We use a Tradeshow form that has a field called Tradeshow Status that includs a picklist with such choices as Visited booth, engaged, demo, session, etc. We than use the Fills out form = Tradeshow form and the Tradeshow status field to create scoring for the tradeshow. We have the sales reps fill out the form for each person they talk to that comes to the booth or cards collected. See below. We would use the same filters to score to do the interesting moment.
